Hello everyone, welcome to  The Vivpost. France marches to Semifinal of FIFA World Cup 2018 after dominating win against Uruguay. A spectacular header by Varane and powerful shot by Griezmann puts France on the cushion to win by domination. With the win probability of 80% it is pretty assumed that France will win this match but when Cavani not included in playing 11 then it is sure that it will be difficult for Uruguay to attack.

40"- GOAL!!! A spectacular goal by Varane as he glances his head and placed ball beautifully to the far post which beats the Uruguayan Keeper. A free kick was taken by Griezmann and Varane dodges defenders to overrun them and scores a beauty.

FRANCE 1-0 URUGUAY

43"-  A great header by Martin Caceres as he placed it to the left corner but a fantastic save by Lloris as he stretched himself fully and gets to the ball and kept it away from the goal, ball rebounded and Uruguay attacks comes to put it into nets but fails as he struck it away into the stands.

It may be gamechanger save from Lloris as France retain there lead against Uruguay at the 1st Half.

• Although France on target shot is only 1 and they converted it into the goal, that means 100% conversion rate.
• Uruguay having 7 shots in total with 4 on target but void on the scoresheet.
• Both teams got 1 yellow cards.   

47"- Casual behavior by Muslera as Griezmann almost got there and it may be Karius part II at WC. but ball rushes out of the line and Uruguay got a goal kick. Such irresponsive behavior not expected by such an experienced Goalkeeper and also at such a big stage.

50"- Pogba trying  "Hand of God" in free-kick which was taken by teenager Mbappe, misses it.

 An aerial cross toward Pogba as he tries to make contact with the head but his hands were seen heading towards the ball as his head can't make contact, sorry buddy but now referee has VAR. Tight defending as he doesn't allow Pogba to take a free header and marked him till last second.

61"- Griezmann scores, a big blunder by Uruguayan goalkeeper Muslera as he completely misjudges the ball that was fired from Griezmann at a distance of 25 yards, Powerfull shot and ball shaking at the last sec that makes keeper move to right then to left and completely out of position, he slams the ball in half minded whether to  punch it or catch it, ball rolls over him as it slips through his hand and rolls into the goal post and double the France lead.

Griezmann didn't celebrate as it was a blunder but I think it is a nice, shaking shot that confused keeper. At such a great level (World Cup) you expect from such an experienced keeper that it will be a regular save. Hard Luck for Muslera as this will haunt him for a long time, hope he will recover from it. One of the worst error in this year's World Cup.

67"-  Tension arises between France and Uruguay team player after Mbappe was pulled by Rodriguez, Mbappe falls on the ground and remain low as the ball was sidelined by his fellow players, Uruguayan captain wasn't happy and pulled Mbappe to stand-up as he said Mbappe is over-reacting.

Suarez complains referee about the time-wasting tactics by France, Pogba losses his cool and pushed a player but controlled and calmed by his fellow players and Coach.

Pogba should not do these things as it can pressurize his team if he got send off.

Rodriguez booked for pulling Mbappe's elbow.

Mbappe booked for over-acting and time-wasting.

72"- Tolisso got a great chance but fires over the post as he targeted the far post(top right corner).

Nice attacking buildup by France.

Great tactics by France as they substitute there all 3 players in the span of 5 minutes.

France still in most of the possession. 

80"-95"- Uruguay players look tired and exhausted as they lose hopes for a comeback, Free kick won by France and this may be the last shot tried.

Uruguay players in tears before the final whistle.
